As a Perth Wedding Celebrant I perform many weddings for couples coming from overseas and they cannot comprehend how lucky we are that we can be married on one of Perth’s wonderful beaches. Perth has some beautiful Beaches for that special wedding and I have really enjoyed perforng some magical weddings on a Perth beach in the past. Here are some of my top choices:
Sorrento Beach Foreshore Park:
This is a stunning park overlooking Sorrento beach right next door to Hillarys Boat harbour.
It is a great area for your wedding ceremony with lots of parking, majestic stairs for an entrance and photos and the park has some undercover areas for just in case it rains.
You can find out more by contacting City of Joondalup Community facility booking office on (08) 9400 4268.
On the Beach, Burns Beach.
This is a stunning beach with a lovely long stairway. I have even married couples on the stairwell down to the beach.
It is a great venue for sunset weddings as the beach looks great in the evening.
You can even find a beautiful alcove to the left of the beach that would be ideal for a small and intimate wedding ceremony.
You can find out more by contacting the Joondalup City council.
Port Beach, North Fremantle.
Nestled just in front of Salt on the Beach Restaurant this amazing beach has a wonderful view of the ocean. It is a clear and flat beach that has plenty of amenities and a few large car-parks.
You can book the beach through the City of Fremantle council on 9432 9702.
This is a beautiful part of Iluka that has its own Pergola on the southern end of the beach.
There is a long stairway to the beach that gives the bride a fantastic entrance, otherwise you can use the northern end that has a boardwalk leading down to the beach.
The beach itself is quite large so will be ideal for a wedding party of any size and can be booked through Joondalup City council.
Point Walter reserve, Bicton.
A wedding ceremony at Point Walter Reserve can take many beautiful forms.
You can have your wedding under one of the large Pine trees on the grass or be a bit more adventurous and have your wedding on part of the sand bar that goes out into the Swan river and has a backdrop of beautiful Mosman Park.
Your can find out more by contacting City of Melville Council on 9364 0666.
On the beach at City Beach.
City Beach is a wonderful venue to have your Wedding Ceremony with beautiful white sand and an amazing view out to sea.
I have been very lucky as a Perth Marriage Celebrant to be involved at some lovely weddings on the Beach at City Beach.
You can find out more from Cottesloe Council by contacting Janna Lockyer on 9285 5000.
On the beach at Cottesloe Beach.
Some of the most fun and relaxed weddings I have performed on Cottesloe beach.
The ocean is always a great backdrop for a wedding and Cottesloe beach is no exception and has lots of cafes and restuarants for refreshments after the wedding.
You can book the beach through the Town of Cottesloe Council on 9285 5000.
The Trigg Island makes for a great wedding as the rocks can shelter it from the winds making it quite comfortable.
There is also the Trigg Island Cafe nearby with lots of parking for your guests.
To book the Trigg Island Beach you can contact the City of Stirling beach services on (08) 9205 1017.
Rottnest Island can be a magical place to be married and there are many beaches to choose. These include some wonderful beaches as The Basin and Geordie Bay.
You can then stay on the island on some of the great accommodation available and make it a holiday.
